In this blog post, I’m going to show you where to find Louis Vuitton Artsy bag date code and what it looks like since I’ve received a lot of questions in regards to Louis Vuitton Artsy bag’s date code location. Indeed, finding Louis Vuitton Artsy bag date code can be a tricky task. It is discreetly”hiding” inside the bag and it could take a while to search for it if you don’t know where to look for. A few notes of Louis Vuitton Artsy Bag Date Code:
- Authentic Louis Vuitton Artsy bag’s date code is located on the fabric of the lining inside one of the wall pockets, not on a small leather tag.
- The font of all Louis Vuitton Artsy bags’ date codes should be exactly the same as the one shown in above picture.
- Artsy bag’s date code is imprinted on the lining ( the date code could be rubbed away with time), not painted in darker color.
- Date code is not the only factor that determines the authenticity of a Louis Vuitton bag.
Some of you also asked what kind of outfits would go well with Louis Vuitton Damier Azur canvas & whether or not a LV damier Azur canvas bag will look good with darker colored clothes. Well, it depends on personal taste. In my opinion Damier Azur canvas goes well with a lot colors due to its neutral tone. It certainly looks beautiful with light colored outfits and I’ve also mixed a black top and a pair of dark blue pants with Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Artsy bag. Hi, do you know what the serial number stands for? I was told that the first & third digit stands for the month and the second and forth digit stand for the year it was manufactured which doesn’t make sence…my serial number is not exact but similar to your digits.

I’m wondering if it also comes the same date code fro the artsy in monogram canvas, if not what it should be? I also have the artsy in damier azur canvas it has the same serial number to yours.

I love the damier azur artsy and am thinking about purchasing one but am worried about several things:
1. How the braided handle feels when carrying it on your shoulder… Is it painful?
2. I take really good care of my bags, but with an azur print I am worried that it will easily get dirty. What is your experience with the azur print?
3. Would you recommend the MM size or GM size? I am 5’8 and saw the MM on someone who was also that size and it looked a lot smaller than I thought it would be ….

1. The braided handle feels totally fine on me:)
2. I found baby wipe is great to clean the azur print.
3. I would recommend the MM size.. I think the GM will feel to heavy on you.

Welcome to my blog!:). To answer your question:
1). Actually the braided side on the handle faces up (only the smooth side will touch your body) so it’s not painful at all.
2). Don’t be a bag basher and you should be fine. But it’s light in color so it gets dirty easier than the darker colored canvas.
3). MM should be good for you! My is MM and I’m 5’7. Unless you want super big bags? MM is very spacious and it won’t get too heavy.

I’m looking at an artsy on eBay. The date stamp is CA4101. The listing says it was given as a gift a year and a half ago. Based on your blog I think the date stamp means it was made in the 41st week of 2001 – which seem quite a while ago? Or have I misinterpreted?
Also, the handle is darker than the one shown in your image above. I was thinking that was natural wear?

I’ve never seen or heard of the factory code CH so that’s the first sign of warning. 4101 means 40th month 2011. Darker handle could be natural wear. Of course there are many other clues can help you to determine it’s fake or real.

I haven’t heard anyone who’s done it. Maybe you can try Louis Vuitton repair department and see if they have any good suggestions. It’s better to make modifications about your bag through the official Louis Vuitton factory in my opinion.
